The Read Together—Catch a
Dream project, funded by Dollar General, is the
latest successful program designed by NCFL to boost educational
opportunities for American Indian families.
Building on the long-term partnership NCFL has working with the
federal Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) in support of the highly
successful Family and Child Education (FACE) program, Read Together—Catch a
Dream brought training and resources to more than
1,000 families in 11 states. The project focused on dialogic reading, a
proven strategy that makes reading more
interactive—and more
effective.
